Scholarships

The organisers of the 5th SAHARA Conference are committed to making this conference accessible to those who cannot effort the conference registration fee. A successful scholarship will qualify for a registration fee waiver only.

Scholarship applications should not be submitted if own travel and accommodation cannot be covered by the applicant.

Unsuccessful scholarship applicants will have to apply for conference registration under the regular registration fee.  Please note that if you register as a paying participant and apply for a scholarship simultaneously, your scholarship application will automatically be disqualified.

Priority will be given to applicants whose participation in the conference will enhance their own work in communities, to those who are able to assist in the transfer of skills and knowledge acquired at the conference, and to those whose abstracts have been selected for the Scientific Programme. Although every effort will be made to assist as many people as possible to attend, we regret that the number of scholarships that can be allocated is limited. Scholarship applications received after 18 September cannot be considered. Scholarship awards will be announced around 20 October.
